Procedures

1. The letter shall be transferred to the Electricity Directorate/ Technical Affairs Division for studying the documents. The application of the company shall be studied and boosted with the required documents to indicate whether selecting these lands is necessary for the company purposes.
2. Recommendation for the Department of Lands and Survey for approval of these lands acquisition and at the companies’ expense in pursuant to the acquisition law and the established regulations according to provisions of the general electricity law.
3. The company shall be notified of the response of the Department of Lands and Survey. 

Required Documents

• An official letter addressed to the Ministry from companies indicating the land owners’ disapproval to sell the land to the company, and showing that the company was negotiating with the citizens.
• Land plan for the plot of land to be acquired.

• National Electric Power Company.
• Electricity distribution companies.
